چکیده اصلی

OBJECTIVE: To enable consistent assessment and communication across clinical practice, research and policy, condition-specific International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) Core Sets can be beneficial. Vision loss substantially affects individuals' functioning across physical, social and environmental domains. Therefore, this study aimed to develop both a comprehensive and brief ICF Core Sets for Vision Loss by integrating perspectives of researchers, healthcare professionals and individuals with visual impairment. Using evidence generated in previous multiphase preparatory studies, this study synthesises these outcomes and reaches international consensus through a Delphi process to determine the most relevant ICF categories. METHODS: A structured decision-making and consensus process was implemented, integrating evidence from previous phases of the Core Set development. Using the Delphi technique, an international panel of experts identified ICF categories for inclusion in the ICF Core Sets. RESULTS: Thirty-two experts from 15 countries participated in the consensus meeting. The comprehensive ICF Core Set comprises 97 second-level ICF categories: 19 (20%) related to body functions, six (6%) to body structures, 52 (54%) to activities and participation and 20 (21%) to environmental factors. The brief ICF Core Set includes 12 second-level categories: two (17%) body functions; eight (67%) activities and participation and two (17%) environmental factors. CONCLUSION: The ICF Core Sets for Vision Loss provide a standardised, clinically relevant framework that supports assessment, treatment planning and interdisciplinary communication. Their use may improve monitoring of functioning over time and enhance care for individuals with vision loss.

Genome Assembly and Annotation of a Plant Pathogen Using the Example of Botrytis cinerea.

The availability of a high-quality genome assembly facilitates the analysis of fungal genomes. This chapter outlines the tools and steps involved in genome sequence assembly and annotation of a plant pathogen, Botrytis cinerea. We describe the use of Illumina short-read and Oxford Nanopore long-read sequencing data to assemble the B. cinerea genome. The steps include the pre-processing of sequencing data, genome assembly using Flye, sc…

Caring Behaviours in Nursing: A Bibliometric Analysis of Global Research Trends and Knowledge Structure.

BACKGROUND: Caring behaviours constitute one of the most visible ways in which "caring" is translated into everyday nursing practice, yet the field has become increasingly heterogeneous across settings, outcomes, and conceptual traditions. A field-level map is therefore needed to clarify how the literature has evolved and where it is currently concentrating. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to bibliometrically map the literature on caring b…

Culturally Embedded Participation Restrictions in Indian Adults With Knee Osteoarthritis: An ICF-Based Qualitative Study.

OBJECTIVE: To identify culturally relevant functioning issues experienced by Indian adults with knee osteoarthritis (KOA) using the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) framework. METHODS: A qualitative descriptive study using semi-structured focus group interviews was conducted with 38 ambulatory adults (35-85 years) diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis (KOA). Participants were recruited from physioth…
