چکیده اصلی

Health promotion and screening constitute central elements of primary care medicine. Screening aims to identify diseases early in asymptomatic patients. Integrated into the daily practice of general practitioners, screening fully contributes to improving patient prognosis. Recommendations are constantly evolving, following the emergence of new evidence and the reassessment of the benefit-risk ratio. The United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) guidelines are an international reference, but specific recommendations exist in Switzerland and may diverge from these. Between 2017 and 2026, several changes in recommendations have occurred and underscore the importance of regular updates for primary care practice. The main changes concern the evaluation of the cardiovascular risk, and that of colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, and hepatitis C.
