چکیده اصلی

CONTEXT: The role of youth engagement within Drug-Free Communities (DFC) coalitions, strategies used by coalitions, and actionable recommendations for new and expanding DFC programs. PROGRAM: Youth engagement in DFC coalitions is most effective when coalitions position youth as co-creators, leaders, and drivers of environmental change. IMPLEMENTATION: Exploring youth engagement from the perspective of empowerment, youth-adult partnerships, youth as active co-constructors, focus on environmental change, and skill enhancement. Each focus area will draw on examples from coalitions receiving DFC funding. DISCUSSION: Findings draw on DFC National Cross-Site Evaluation data and qualitative examples from DFC coalitions. Coalitions using these strategies and values experience stronger engagement, sustainability, and community impact.

Environmental Context and Reporting Completeness of Event-Based Ecological Momentary Assessment in Cigarette and Cannabis Use.

INTRODUCTION: Ecological momentary assessment (EMA) allows researchers to capture substance use as it occurs in daily life, but participants may not report every use event. Little is known about whether the environments where people spend time affect the completeness of these reports. METHODS: We examined how consistently young adults reported cigarette and cannabis use through event-based EMA and whether reporting differed by the soci…

The Impact of Heterogeneity in Individual Characteristics and Motivation to Quit Heroin Use on Contingency Management and Opioid Agonist Treatment Response: A Latent Class Analysis.

INTRODUCTION: Contingency Management (CM) involves the systematic application of positive reinforcement (financial incentives) to promote behaviour change, to improve treatment outcomes for individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD). To better understand patient heterogeneity, this study sought to identify meaningful subgroups/classes underlying the population based on characteristic groupings, followed by determining whether CM effect…
