چکیده اصلی

Vaccinology education, as a fundamental strategy that supports vaccine research and practice while integrating the needs of public health and clinical services, constitutes an important component of medical education in China. This paper reviews the recent development of vaccinology education in China, covering disciplinary organization, textbook development, curriculum systems, and the levels of talent cultivation, and identifies existing problems such as outdated textbook content, insufficient faculty resources, and inadequate instructional time allocation. On this basis, this article proposes development pathways, including fully integrating vaccinology education into higher education and promoting integrated dynamic updates that combine print textbooks with digital resources, with the aim of improving the quality of vaccinology teaching and student learning outcomes. These efforts may serve as a reference for strengthening the cultivation of vaccinology professionals and refining the vaccine-related education system in China.

Research Participation During a National Educational Disruption: Insights From a Natural Experiment in Medical Education.

BACKGROUND: Immersive research experiences are widely recognized as valuable for medical students. However, opportunities for extended research are often constrained by dense curricula. In 2024, the Republic of Korea experienced an inevitable nationwide suspension of medical education for about one year, allowing some students to engage in full-time research. From this unique situation, the present study aimed to explore the medical st…
