چکیده اصلی

Bodily awareness has become a central therapeutic factor in psychodynamic and body-oriented psychotherapies, yet its clinical effects and theoretical status remain insufficiently integrated. This paper offers a clinically grounded account of bodily awareness work in Psychodynamic Movement and Dance Therapy (PMT), conceptualising the body as the primary medium of lived experience rather than as an object of intervention. Drawing on phenomenology, developmental psychoanalysis, and clinical theory, the paper argues that therapeutic change in PMT unfolds through prereflective, embodied processes that precede verbal reflection and symbolic articulation. To integrate these perspectives, it introduces the concept of the global mode of experience, defined as an amodal, prereflective organisation of experience in which bodily sensation and affective vitality are lived as an integrated whole. Rooted in Daniel Stern's work, this mode is understood as a stable, activatable capacity rather than a regressive state, with orientation to the reality of the here-and-now fundamentally preserved. The paper positions the global mode of experience as a clinically orienting framework for understanding both the therapeutic effects and the limitations of bodily awareness work, highlighting the importance of timing, containment, and indication in psychodynamic movement and dance therapy. '…but look how many lives would have been saved if this was available then' Exploring the acceptability of future Human Papillomavirus self-sampling, and the barriers and facilitators of cervical cancer screening for those with intellectual disabilities in Scotland.

BACKGROUND: Cervical cancer screening attendance among women with intellectual disabilities (ID) in Scotland is approximately 30%, significantly below the general population rate of 69% and the WHO's recommended 70% target. HPV self-sampling could provide a more accessible screening option for this underserved population. This study aimed to understand the views and experiences of women with ID regarding cervical cancer screening and t…

Day-to-day variability in resting metabolic rate in strength athletes.

BACKGROUND: Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) is measured in sport settings for health monitoring and nutrition planning; however, interpreting repeated measures requires an understanding of typical day-to-day variability under habitual, free-living conditions. This study quantified intra-individual variability in RMR among weight-stable strength-trained athletes, examined the impact of data processing approaches, and established protocol-s…

Rotation-traction manipulation versus cervical traction for axial neck pain caused by cervical degenerative disc disease: a multicenter randomized controlled trial.

BACKGROUND: Axial neck pain is a common manifestation of cervical degenerative disc disease (CDD). Rotation-traction manipulation (RTM) is widely used in China, but its comparative effectiveness and safety versus cervical traction remain uncertain. METHODS: In this prospective multicenter randomized controlled trial, 154 adults with CDD-related axial neck pain were randomized 1:1 to receive RTM (7 sessions over 2 weeks) or cervical tra…

Effect of transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation on postoperative pain in patients undergoing thoracoscopic partial lung resection: a randomized, double-blind, controlled clinical trial.

BACKGROUND: Postoperative pain after thoracic surgery remains common and challenging. Transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) is a noninvasive neuromodulation technique with potential analgesic effects. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of taVNS for postoperative pain management in patients undergoing thoracoscopic partial lung resection. METHODS: Adults undergoing thoracoscopic partial lung resectio…
